ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A water valve replacement near McCormick Road and New Scotland Road will temporarily shut off the water to multiple homes in the Normanskill neighborhood on Wednesday. Albany Water Department officials said the repairs will continue through Wednesday evening.
Albany Water Department officials said the damage progressed rapidly during the day on Tuesday. They said emergency repairs were crucial to prevent future impacts on the city's water service.
Crews plan to replace a second valve at the corner of Fairview Avenue and McCormick Road. Once both valves have been replaced, water services will be restored.
