Tottenham Hotspur have thankfully had little time to lick their wounds following Sunday’s loss.
Spurs are back in action tomorrow evening when they face Coventry City in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Ange Postecoglou‘s side started brightly against North London rivals Arsenal at the weekend, but once again looked short of ideas when it came to the final third of the pitch.
The Australian has provided an injury update ahead of the tie with Yves Bissouma having sat out the 1-0 loss at the weekend due to a niggle picked up on international duty.
Bissouma scored for his second match in a row for Mali when he netted against Estwanti, but had to come off in the second half.
As he typically does, Postecoglou has delivered an update on the fitness of his Tottenham first-team squad which will see Richarlison once again sidelined through injury.
Postecoglou told the official Spurs site when asked about Bissouma: “No. He’s not where we want him to be (in his recovery) but hopefully there’s still a chance (he’ll be available) for the weekend.”
The former Brighton player looks to be not far off a return, however, with the Spurs boss confirming he has a chance of featuring against Brentford on Saturday.
For those who are not attending the match at the Coventry Building Society Arena, our guide provides coverage of when, where and how you can watch Coventry vs Spurs.
