Match Preview: Hibernian v Queen’s Park – 15 Sept 24

The Spiders are on the road for the second week in a row after they faced Glasgow City at K-Park last Sunday which ended in an 8-0 defeat.

Hibernian will be hosting their second match on the bounce; this time at Meadowbank Stadium. Grant Scott’s side faced Hearts in their previous match which ended in a 4-0 derby defeat at Easter Road.

Queen’s Park currently sit in eighth place and could go up to sixth with a win and if other results go their way with Motherwell and Partick Thistle within a point of Craig Joyce’s side.

Craig Joyce’s thoughts ahead of the game: “It should be a good game and one that we’re all looking forward to. Hibs have had a good run of results to start the season, but they will be hurting from last week and determined to put it right.

We can take a lot of positives from our performance last week, particularly the defensive display in the first half, and we are looking to build on that as the tough run of fixture come.

Car Parking – Meadowbank Stadium has a customer car park which is open to other centre users so availability may be limited. On street parking is free in the surrounding streets – Wishaw Terrace, Dalgety Avenue, Dalgety Street and Marionville Road.

Catering – The catering kiosk within the stadium offer a range of snacks and beverages. Payment is via cash and card.

Stadium Entry – Supporters of both sides should enter Meadowbank Stadium via the West turnstiles, located near the London Road/Wishaw Terrace junction.
