WWE wrestler John Cena proposed to his girlfriend Nikki Bella after the duo won a tag team match at WrestleMania 33 in April 2017 on Sunday in Orlando, Florida. “I have been waiting so long to ask you this, Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace. Will you marry me,” Cena said while down on one knee. Bella tearfully accepted before embracing and kissing Cena.
The couple broke up all of a sudden in 2018 leaving the fans shell-shocked. While everyone thought that Cena and Nikki Bella were just about to get married, the two broke which was devastating for their fans. Nikki Bella revealed that the major reason why the two didn’t continue their relationship or marriage is mainly because of John Cena’s non-commitment to a family life which she always wanted.
In 2018, Nikki took part in the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble and lost to the winner, Asuka. At SummerSlam, she and Brie Bella returned to support Ronda Rousey. After being back full-time, The Bellas turned on Ronda and started their rivalry. Nikki Bella faced Round Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship at Evolution and lost. In 2019, she announced her retirement from wrestling and the next year, she was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
