TOPEKA (KSNT) - Topeka Police Department is investigating a threat to a local elementary school.
According to TPD, a potential threat to Meadows Elementary School, at 201 SW Clay St. came in just before 6 p.m. Thursday night. Federal law enforcement and the USD 501 Police were notified and all individuals involved have been located.
No threat has been identified. TPD wants to remind the public that any threat of violence, whether spoken or online, is a serious matter and will be fully investigated.
TPS Police is working with TPD to ensure a safe day at school today.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
