‘I still go back’ – Danny Rose makes an admission about his relationship with Spurs
Danny Rose admits that he still goes back to Tottenham Hotspur from time to time, almost four years on from leaving the club.

Rose is undoubtedly one of Tottenham’s most iconic left-backs of the Premier League era, with the youngster arriving at the club in 2007 as a teenager before going on to become a top player.
In fact, the defender, who played 150 times for Spurs, was arguably the best player in his position across the Premier League for a three or four-year spell under Mauricio Pochettino.
However, a series of injuries followed by Pochettino’s departure spelt the end for him at Tottenham, with the Leeds academy graduate eventually leaving the club in 2021 after his contract ran out.
Rose’s time at the club did not end in the best fashion, with Jose Mourinho freezing the full-back out of the first-team and forcing him to train with the U23s, but the 34-year-old admits that he still has a soft spot for the club.

When asked about his relationship with the club, he told Gambling Zone’s YouTube channel: “I still go back to the club sometimes.”
Rose also confessed that he keeps a close eye on how Tottenham are getting on under Ange Postecoglou, even suggesting that this Spurs side has similarities to the one he was part of under Pochettino.
The former Spurs man added: “I went to Old Trafford last season and watched them play vs Man United. And watching them live, seeing how they play, I left the game asking my friends, do you think this team could be like the one I was a part of?”

Anyone who watches this Tottenham side live cannot be helped but be impressed with the intensity and the attacking intent with which we play, and in that respect, they are similar to the Pochettino side.
However, the Spurs team under Pochettino had much better control of matches and were a lot more compact defensively in comparison to the current side, who seem quite susceptible whenever they lose the ball in the middle of the park.
