REDWOOD CITY — Two brothers were arrested Thursday in connection with a shooting last month in Redwood City, police said.
On Aug. 3, the brothers went to a business in the 600 block of Whipple Avenue and started a fight with an employee, according to the Redwood City Police Department.
Coworkers intervened and overpowered the brothers. Police said the brothers then pulled out a gun and started chasing the victims. Multiple shots were fired but no one was hit.
The suspects left the scene before officers arrived.
Officers collected bullet casings and obtained evidence that ultimately helped them identify the suspects.
Police said an investigation revealed the fight was the result of an ongoing dispute between the victim and the brothers.
On Thursday, detectives served a search warrant in the 800 block of Palm Avenue and arrested the brothers, ages 25 and 27. Police said detectives found a loaded gun on the older brother, as well as additional ammunition and firearm-related equipment.
Both men were booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City on a charge of attempted murder. The older brother was also booked on charges of carrying a firearm with the intent to commit a felony and carrying a loaded firearm.
