A WOMAN has been left people stunned after revealing how pregnancy changed her face and nose.
McKaylee Gabrielle welcomed her baby boy McKavien into the world in July of this year but before he was born the mum looked barely recognisable.
McKaylee had no idea how much change her body would go through while pregnant[/caption] She was stunned to see how much her nose changed[/caption]In a now viral TikTok video, the mum-of-one showed what she looked like before getting pregnant.
Wearing a black vest and beige coat she pouted her lips as she posed for the camera.
Her skin was glowing and she wore a neutral make-up look with a silver hoop pierced into her nose.
And while the mum was happy to be pregnant – she had no idea what was in store for her.
The video then showed McKaylee far along in her pregnancy and there was clearly a massive difference in size – but we’re not talking about her stomach.
Posing in her car once again her face looked massively different and it was all because of how much her nose had grown during her pregnancy.
The exhausted mum laid down on the car seat as she noticed the change to her facial feature.
“Why did no one warn me?” she captioned the post using the hashtag pregnancy nose.
“Although ‘pregnancy nose’ is not a medical term, many women’s noses do appear to be bigger toward the end of pregnancy, and they may also experience more frequent nasal drainage than prior to pregnancy,” says Jessica Madden, M.D., IBCLC, a board-certified neonatologist, pediatrician, lactation consultant, and the medical director of Aeroflow Breastpumps.
And it’s all down to those pesky hormone changes which increase blood circulation to help grow the fetus.
Not only does it push blood to your unborn baby, it also circulates everywhere around the body – causing the nose to swell.
The post quickly went viral on her TikTok account @mckayleegabrielle with over 3.6 millions views and 174k likes.
People were quick to take to the comments stunned by the difference while many mums claimed they went through the same thing.
One person wrote: “Girl mine did the same thing.”
