We are excited to announce that Robby Richardson joined Randpark Club as our new General Manager. With a wealth of experience and a global perspective, Robby is set to bring a fresh and dynamic approach to our club.
A Storied Career in Golf and Hospitality
Robby’s career spans several decades and continents, making him a remarkable addition to our team. Since 2010 he served as the CEO of Houghton Golf Club. During his tenure, Houghton Golf Club gained a reputation for outstanding service, exceptional catering, and a beautifully maintained golf course. Robby was instrumental in significant developments, including redesigning the Jack Nicklaus course and creating a high-tech conferencing venue. His leadership also shone through in the successful management of the Joburg Open in 2022 and 2023, earning accolades for presenting one of the best courses and clubhouses in the region.
Before joining Houghton, Robby was General Manager of the prestigious Rand Club in Johannesburg. His work there involved modernising the club while preserving its rich traditions. Robby’s experience extends beyond South Africa, with key management roles at elite clubs in Portugal and Morocco, where he refined his skills in member relations, club operations, and high-end hospitality.

Robby’s involvement in the Club Management Association of South Africa (CMASA) as a member of the Executive Board highlights his dedication to advancing the club industry in South Africa. His active participation in CMASA underscores his commitment to training and development initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
A Leader with a Global Perspective
Robby is a highly motivated leader known for his integrity, strategic thinking, and ability to inspire his teams. Fluent in five languages and well-travelled, he brings a multicultural approach to his work. Beyond his professional achievements, Robby is an avid golfer and skier, with a keen appreciation for modern jazz.
