Hello Friends,
If you found a wave yesterday, check back there first today. Swell at sea is straight south and was a metre at 12 seconds when the MHL buoy reported in at 0600. That’s enough to deliver maybe waist-plus sets at the focal points but as you can see from the pics, elsewhere was on the edge of flat. At 0700 the wind was coming faintly from the north.
North to northeasterly winds are prevailing along the NSW coast with a high pressure system in the Tasman Sea. A cold front will enter the far southern coastal waters later today, sweeping across the central and northern coast on Thursday, with a fresh to strong southerly wind change in its wake. The southerly airstream will somewhat ease later this week as a high pressure ridge follows the front, then southerly winds will increase again as another cold front moves across the coast during the weekend and the tide was just coming off the 0645 low as it swings to the 1240 high. Weather is set to be sunny as we head to summery high of 26. Water however hasn’t budged off of 18C according to beachwatch.
Will try to sling a pic up later!
