I’m a mum & trolls say neighbours should report me over my messy house – but our two-year-old’s a wrecking ball
A MUM has shared a realistic insight into her life parenting an active toddler.
She filmed her messy kitchen as she explained that her two-year-old was responsible for a lot of the chaos.
In her viral video, TikTok user Remi (@remiclog) revealed that her untidy kitchen was the result of a “burnout.”
The self-described “disorganised mum” told her followers the clutter was only the result of a few days without cleaning.
She panned the camera around the place to show the dishes stacked in the sink, the food scraps that covered the counter, and the full bin.
Her entire kitchen floor was also covered in rubbish and random objects.
“As you can see, the summer holidays and lack of routine have just bested me,” Remi said.
“This is not weeks and weeks worth of mess, this is just a few days of me dropping the ball because mentally I just couldn’t keep up.”
While she made significant progress on cleaning up the kitchen in her video, the mum revealed she has a lot of work ahead of her.
She explained that her “whole house” looked the same, adding that her two-year-old is “just like a wrecking ball.”
Remi added that she tried to get on top of the housework after her toddler went to bed but struggled to find the energy.
She also said that her two-year-old “point blank refuses” to pick up after himself.
However, she remained confident that he would soon learn the life skill.
Despite her honest insight into balancing parenting and household chores, some trolls were quick to call out her messy home.
“I feel sorry for your neighbours, they need to complain to the council,” wrote one viewer.
“Something wrong if your kids making that much mess,” said another follower.
“Mine simply were not allowed and I had to constantly distract and provide other things to do.”

“No disrespect but maybe teach your kids to put rubbish in the bin and not on the floor?” suggested a third person.
“Your kids make that mess because you allow them [to].”
“Your kids need to help you even a two-year-old can learn to help, you’ve got to look after the mama in order to look after the kids,” wrote another TikTok user.
“Well you need to take charge of his behaviour if that’s the mess or clear up after he’s in bed,” said one viewer.
“You should never let it get in that state, minging,” commented another person.
