Len Laarman, 73, of Imlay City, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2006, at home after an extended illness.Leonard Lee Laarman was born January 1, 1933, in Imlay City, to Andrew and Hattie (Meadema) Laarman. He married Alma Margaret Hiltz in Lapeer on June 2, 1969.Len served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a lifelong resident of Imlay City and graduated with the class of 1950 from Imlay City High School. He was a member of the Imlay City Eagles, American Legion, and the Imlay City VFW. He had been a manager in the meat department at the Lapeer A & P store for 20 years.
