Disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein was rushed to Bellevue Hospital from his jail cell on Sunday, his attorneys confirmed.
Weinstein, 72, underwent emergency surgery at the Manhattan hospital, his attorney Arthur Aidala told the Daily Beast in an email. His surgery took place on Monday and was “regarding heart issues,” Aidala confirmed.
Craig Rothfeld, Weinstein’s jail consultant, told the Daily Beast in a separate statement that his client was rushed to the hospital for “several medical conditions.”
