Nicolle Wallace: It’s past time to stop ignoring 'angry, bitter, and delusional' Trump
An MSNBC host on Monday sounded the alarm on new threats from former President Donald Trump.
Trump wrote on TruthSocial that he would prosecute and jail anyone who "cheated" in the election. That includes officials, poll workers, political operatives, donors and lawyers.
The remark raised the hackles of Nicolle Wallace as she began her Monday episode of "Deadline: White House."
"You should know it includes a lot of nonsensical caps. A couple of long words that make me wonder who wrote it," Wallace confessed.

Typically, she doesn't read off Trump's social media posts, but she explained that it's time to start showcasing the outlandish comments.
Last week, The Associated Press and The New York Times drew criticism for "sane washing" Trump, or sanitizing comments widely regarded as gibberish or nonsensical. The example came from Trump's appearance at the Economic Club of New York, in which he couldn't answer a question about affordable child care.
"It is long past time to include what he's saying, ignore what he's saying, or dismiss it as the rantings of an angry, bitter, and delusional man," Wallace said. "He's all of those things. But he often sounds addled and confused. So, we gloss over these things. But this time, he's lashing out at the justice system and the election system."
She noted that one of the biggest problems is that the "country has been drinking from the fire hose of Trump's lies and conspiracies for so many years now. It often feels like too many of us have become numb to these kinds of pronouncements, this series of threats from Trump."
With the election 57 days away, Wallace said the media is more focused instead on a horse race or a tightening of polls.
"We're not going to do that," she promised. "Trump is all of the things that we said. He's addled; he's delusional. The things that he writes have bizarre, nonsensical fragments of sentences, [are] incorrect. But he is the Republican presidential nominee, and tomorrow, he'll be treated that way."
