After extensive research, she revealed her favorite dupes for Clinique’s $25 Black Honey Almost lipstick.
“I love that dark cherry lip, so I buy a lot of those kind of lip products,” she said.
“After trying DOZENS, I have found my three favorite Black Honey dupes.”
She raved about Elf’s Hydrating Core Lip Shine in the shade Ecstatic, which she felt was as good as the real thing.
“This is the same lip balm texture and sheerness of Black Honey; it’s just a tad more berry,” she said.
Another favorite was NYX’s Butter Gloss in the shade Rocky Road.
While the gloss wasn’t an exact color match for the Clinique, she explained that the proper technique got pretty close.
“Apply a lesser amount to get more of a sheer color to mimic Black Honey. It leans a little more red,” she said.
For a glossier look, she reaches for the Elf Pout Clout Lip Plumping Pen in the shade Wicked Cherry.
“[It] leaves a more glossy finish than the other twp and leans just a little more brown than Black Honey, but it still an almost exact dupe,” she said.
Makeup fans thanked her for her recommendations, with some adding their favorites.
One Black Honey fan revealed that a drugstore pick was her go-to when she didn’t want to shell out $25.
“I love the Covergirl tinted balm one, but this is great!” she said.

“That one is great too; I should’ve included it!” the Redditor replied.
Ulta shoppers agreed with her picks, with reviewers seconding her suggestions.
“This lipstick has a fake weird smell but it is very pretty and similar to Clinique’s Black Honey,” said one about the Elf Hydrating Core Lip Shine stick.
While the smell of the lipstick irritated some, others felt that it was subjective to one’s taste.
“The color Ecstatic is a great dupe of the Clinique Black Honey, and it’s so cute on,” agreed another.
“I don’t know why everyone’s moaning about the smell; it smells good and doesn’t have a taste at all. Definitely worth it.”
