A NEW addition to McDonald’s Monopoly will see one lucky customer win a huge cash prize tomorrow.
The fast food giant is guaranteeing an instant prize of £20k to be won via its app every Monday – in an introduction called Mayfair Monday.
McDonald’s Monopoly is back and has lots of surprises in store[/caption] Customers will need to peel back the stickers on selected items to be in with a chance of winning the £20k cash prize[/caption]To win, players will simply need to peel back the sticker on a Maccies item, before peeling again on the app.
The game, which will begin tomorrow, can be played at any time of the day.
It will take place every Monday until the end of the game (excluding October 14th):
As well as Mayfair Monday, McDonald’s has also announced it will be dropping prices on two fan-favourite menu items this Monday.
From 5am to 11am, Single McMuffins will be available for just £1.19 on the McDonald’s app – 30% down from their usual price.
The Single McMuffin is a toasted English muffin, filled with free-range egg, melted cheese, and a choice of bacon or sausage.
Meanwhile, six Chicken McNuggets will be available for just £1.39 from 11am.
As always, customers can earn points on their purchases by signing up to MyMcDonald’s Rewards.
The points can be redeemed for menu items or the cash equivalent donated to BBC Children in Need, FareShare and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
McDonald’s Monopoly returned last Wednesday (September 4), with several new perks.
These included the Mr. Monopoly Bonus Reward – 1,500 MyMcDonald’s Rewards points to any player that has accumulated 30 property codes.
Property codes must be scanned by October 29 to count towards Mr. Monopoly Bonus Reward, and a maximum of one Mr. Monopoly Bonus Reward can be awarded per customer.
PLAYERS who take part in Monopoly can collect stickers from their food packaging that represent train stations or colour co-ordinated road names - much like the classic game.
However, not all menu items are worth the same amount, and this determines how you redeem a prize.
For example, instant win food prizes can be redeemed at any McDonald’s branch by handing the token over at the counter when you order.
You’ll need to hand the game pieces over to a member of staff when you collect your meal.
To find your nearest store, visit www.mcdonalds.com/gb/en-gb/restaurant-locator.html.
But if you’ve got a winning token or code, you may need to provide some of your personal details to be able to redeem it, such as your date of birth, email address and phone number.
You will then be asked to choose how you want to receive your winnings, which will be either via email or delivery.
There’s also a chance you’ll get an app play code to collect. This will be clear when you peel off the sticker.
You’ll need to have the app to enter the code and see if you’ve won a prize.
It’s free to download the app either from the Google Android or iPhone app stores.
The Monopoly menu items which you can get stickers on are:
If you get multiple stickers, you can try to collect property sets that will put you in line to win some big prizes.
Peel off the sticker you get when you buy a McDonald’s item to see if you have won an instant prize.
Look for a code on your online game piece to get the chance to take home some prizes.
You could end up being charged more for a McDonald's meal based solely on the McDonald's restaurant you choose.
Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30% cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.
You can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 at any time by filling in a feedback survey found on McDonald’s receipts.
The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.
You’ll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.
There are some deals and offers you can only get if you have the My McDonald’s app, so it’s worth signing up to get money off your meals.
The MyMcDonald’s app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android phones and is quick to set up.
You can also bag freebies and discounts on your birthday if you’re a My McDonald’s app user.
The chain has recently sent out reminders to app users to fill out their birthday details – otherwise they could miss out on birthday treats.
