Suddenly lots of outrage about this in east hull and the media following last night's game. I'm not a fan of it but players have been doing it all season so I'm not sure why it's suddenly a hot topic. I'm pretty sure we got a couple of cards in the first Derby when Dobbins players stayed down after contact so I guess what goes around comes around.
For me there should be constant review of what is happening by the video ref and if any foul play he should tell the match ref who can stop the game and go back and deal with it. It would stop players needing to stay down if they felt some contact.
The other side of the coin is if there is head contact then it's foul play, whether or jot we agree with the player staying down. It's only not penalised in the first instance if the officials don't see it. It's just the rules being applied whether or not we agree with the rules. Any contact with the head is a penalty. If there is force it's a card. I don't really see what the issue is for the Dobbins fans
