PORTLAND, Ore. (PORTLAND TRIBUNE) — Two separate East Multnomah County crashes involving a vehicle and pedestrian have left a pair of people in critical condition Friday night.
First, a pedestrian was struck at 8:37 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast 158th Avenue and Southeast Division Street, in the Centennial Neighborhood. Portland Police found the person who was struck with life-threatening injuries. They were taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Then less than half an hour later, Portland officers were dispatched to another pedestrian crash at 9:04 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast 137th Avenue and Southeast Halsey Street. That person was also taken by ambulance to a hospital, with preliminary indications being they will survive. The driver in the second crash also remained at the scene.
