Good Thursday Evening,
After a brisk start, temps rebounded quickly, and we ended up in the upper 80s this afternoon. Tonight we will have a few clouds, and a light breeze, with seasonal temps in the lower 60s to upper 50s. Friday will start off with sunshine and some clouds, and as the day moves on, we will see pop-up showers and some storms possible, mainly after lunch. Temps will push into the upper 80s, before scattered showers and storms move through dropping temps.
We badly need the rain, but the timing will not be ideal, as it could impact some of the Football Friday Nite games for week 3, with temps falling into the 60s by the end of the games. Overnight the cold front will push east, and should end rain chances well before sunrise on Saturday. Saturday expect clearing skies, a bit of a breeze through the day, and highs struggling to get to 70 during the day.
With clear skies, Saturday night will be quite chilly, with temps falling to the mid 40s in town, and lower 40s outside the city. It is possible there will be a few spots to the north/northeast that could drop into the upper 30s on Sunday morning. Sunday will be a beautiful day with tons of sunshine and highs in the lower 70s.
High pressure will build back across our area for next week, meaning lots of dry sunshine expected every day. Temps will climb from around 80 on Monday, to the middle 80s on Tuesday, mid-upper 80s on Wednesday, and upper 80s to near 90 on Thursday.
