Lori Harvey arrived at Peacock’s “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist” held at New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center on Sept. 4 dressed like Hollywood royalty. While the miniseries marks Harvey’s acting debut, she is no stranger to red carpets and she stood out wearing a satin dress and Yves Saint Laurent furry mules.
While the rest of her costars and attendees wore ’70s-inspired looks, Harvey, who plays pop star Lola Falana in the series, wore a Khyeli silk satin slit dress in ivory that perfectly draped over her petite frame. She paired the dress with YSL’s 100mm LA 16 furry mules in cream, which retailed at around $995.00, which brought attention to her polished white pedicure. The heels were visible thanks to the skirt’s high slit.
The slip on shoe featured a pointed open toe, with an acetate faux-fur upper, leather lining and sole with a 3-inch stiletto heel. Her hair was worn in a messy, yet elegant, updo, that let her soft glam neutral makeup stand out.
Her accessories added to the glamour, and she carried a vintage Judith Leiber vintage minaudiere Swarovski crystal clutch with gold hardware. For her jewelry, Harvey opted for a Lorraine Schwartz necklace and rings.
While promoting the series, the model made an appearance on the “Today Show” to talk to Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush alongside her costar Chloe Bailey. They asked her what her dad’s Steve Harvey’s reaction was to her landing the role. “It was really funny because my dad actually didn’t find out until I showed up at the house in Atlanta to film and he was like, ‘What are you doing home?'” she shared. “He was so shocked. He was so excited for me and he was like, ‘OK, this is the real deal, you have to focus.”
As for how she prepared for her acting debut, she said she learned on the go from her costars, which include Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson, Don Cheadle and more. “I pretty much learned by doing and I was watching them a lot and they were very encouraging while we were on set, especially Sam,” she shared.
“Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist” follows a heist that occurs the night of Muhammad Ali’s return to boxing in 1970. The miniseries is available to stream on Peacock on Sept. 5.
