A 24-year-old man was remanded in custody for eight days on Thursday, following his arrest in connection with a case of burglary and theft.
The incident involves the burglary of a kiosk in the Nicosia district, which occurred in the early hours of August 29.
According to the complaint filed with the police, a cash register drawer containing bank notes and a box of coins were stolen from the kiosk.
Following investigations, evidence was found implicating the 24-year-old suspect, leading to the arrest warrant.
He was located and arrested by police shortly after 6pm on Wednesday. On Thursday morning, the suspect was brought before the Nicosia district court, which issued an eight-day detention order.
