For the drama categories, winner “Succession” is gone, but so are all four of the other ensemble nominees (“The Crown,” “The Gilded Age,” “The Last of Us,” “The Morning Show”). Acting winners Elizabeth Debicki (“The Crown”) and Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us”) are also not eligible. Current lead performers nominated at the Emmys who could compete on the SAG ballot: Donald Glover, Walton Goggins, Gary Oldman, Hiroyuki Sanada; Maya Erskine, Anna Sawai.
For comedy races, champ “The Bear” could be back but so could ensemble nominees “Abbott Elementary” and “Only Murders in the Building.” The other two nominees of “Barry” and “Ted Lasso” aren’t on the ballot. Acting winners Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White are eligible again for “The Bear.” Other current lead performers nominated at the Emmys who could compete at SAG: Matt Berry, Larry David, Steve Martin, Martin Short; Quinta Brunson, Selena Gomez, Maya Rudolph, Jean Smart, Kristen Wiig.
Fan favorite “Beef” won both limited series trophies for Ali Wong and Steven Yeun. Current lead performers nominated at the Emmys who could compete for SAG voters: Richard Gadd, Tom Hollander, Andrew Scott; Jodie Foster, Sofia Vergara, Naomi Watts.
The 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards will stream live February 23 on Netflix. Nominations will be announced on January 8. We will offer a film predictions event in the near future.
