HUNTINGTON, N.Y. (PIX11) – Human remains were found in a suitcase in Huntington on Long Island Tuesday, police said.
Police officers responded to a 911 call reporting “suspicious activity” in a wooded area next to 320 Nassau Road at 11:50 p.m., according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
Police found a body in a suitcase next to a building, authorities said.
Suffolk County police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the person’s death.
The Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office will work to determine the person’s identity and their cause of death.
