September 3 – Confederation of African Football (CAF) president Patrice Motsepe has suggested that his organisation’s payments to member associations should also benefit the secretary generals of those countries.
Speaking at an event in Cape Town, the South African billionaire said: “The secretary-general has got a family. He’s got a wife and children or a husband and children. And again, just like the president, we cannot pay them enough. We have to look at those things and make sure we pay our people.
