Queen Camilla opened the new Dyson Cancer Centre at Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust on Sept. 3 wearing a Fiona Clare dress and brown kitten heel pumps she has previously worn on different occassions.
The royal dressed for the momentous occasion in a green patterned frock from the brand Fiona Clare, a British designer she’s known to favor. This dress featured a demure design with elbow-length sleeves, a collar and a midi-length skirt cut.
The nature-themed pattern included many small leaves in different shades of green against a darker background. The dress also featured a tie around the waist which accentuated its A-line silhouette. Queen Camilla previously wore the dress to attend the Sadringham Flower Show in 2023.
The queen consort accessorized the look with a number of jewels, including a Kiki McDonough blue topaz and diamond pendant as well as bracelets from Van Cleef & Arpels.
The queen gave herself a hint of extra height with a pair of brown leather kitten heels, similar in style as Maryam Nassir Zadeh’s leather pumps. In a shining camel hue, the shoes featured a slightly different design than the stereotypical pump. This pair featured a rounded toe as opposed to a sharply angled one, which softened the look and aligned with her daytime aesthetic. The outline of the vamp was also rounded, creating an ovular look that aligned with the toe. A slight life was offered in the back by a block kitten heel.
She previously wore the same style at Badminton Horse Trials 2024 in Badminton, Gloucestershire earlier this year. The dainty and versatile kitten heel remains a popular trend and is on the rise in New York this summer; Sarah Jessica Parker, for example, was seen in a black pair with a pearl strap and bow-adorned vamp while on the set of “And Just Like That” in July.
Queen Camilla is known to wear a range of relatively low-heeled pumps in neutral tones, showing off the classic style on a number of occasions. She wore an off-white pair of pumps to Wimbledon this summer and a dark brown pair to visit University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre with King Charles III in April.
