A HAIRCARE enthusiast has revealed that the secret to how they grew their locks in a month is all thanks to a $15 serum.
Since incorporating the affordable beauty buy into their regimen, their tresses have gotten significantly longer, and they have a certain technique to accompany it.
A Redditor shared her go-to serum that grew her hair much quicker and there’s a specific technique she uses along with it (stock image)[/caption]Reddit user Repair_with_gold has been using The Ordinary’s Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density, $15, for a month and a half.
The lightweight, water-based product is meant to help achieve fuller and healthier-looking hair.
She said it was “definitely working” for her, and there’s a reason.
“I had a lot of uneven hair growth due to a health condition,” she said in a post.
“I could actually see those strands growing really fast, much faster than usual.”
She has fine, light brown hair, but the little light blonde hairs she had growing around her temple are now longer, stronger, and darker.
Her hairline is “much thicker now” overall.
Not only did she say it was working well, but she also said it was “working better in conjunction” with a scalp massage.
“I used to do scalp massages regularly before using this and I didn’t get the same results,” she added.
Celebrity stylist Ryan Pearl spoke exclusively to The U.S. Sun about the dos and don’ts of a scalp massage to encourage growth.
He said you must massage it gently to avoid damage to the follicles.
The Reddit user applies a few drops or about half a dropper worth of the product on her “problem areas” every night on a clean scalp.
She said it has a slightly greasy feel, but it feels somewhere in between “silicone-y” rather than oily.
“After it dries up there’s no oily residue left,” she added.
Because of her light hair color, she said she definitely would have noticed if it was too greasy.
Not everyone will have the same result.
She advised those interested in trying it to test it for themselves because every hair type and texture is different.
The Reddit user also shared her trick to encourage growth that makes it work even better.

“When you apply it, make sure you part your hair and get the dropper as close to the scalp as possible,” she suggested.
“This way, you avoid getting too much on your hair.”
It is important to get it “only where it matters” and that’s the skin.
Afterward, gently massage the scalp with circular motions.
She also had a special warning, so you don’t damage the “baby hairs” or small fine pieces around the hairline.
“Make sure you ‘move’ the scalp with the tips of your fingers as opposed to ‘rubbing’ the hair,” she said.
