A FILLER addict has revealed people can’t even recognise him anymore – after he had all of it dissolved.
Alan Jackson, 28 once had about 30ml in his lips alone as well as various amounts in his cheeks, jaw, nose and chin.
He even learned how to inject himself after clinics started refusing to give him any more for his own safety.
But the chef, from Carluke, Lanarkshire has completely transformed his appearance after ditching his dangerous £6k a year beauty routine.
He said: “I just decided it wasn’t really a look I wanted anymore and had spoken about getting it dissolved.
“I wasn’t sure how it was going to look and if I would I would need surgery to lift loose skin I had stretched.
“Luckily I didn’t and originally I dissolved the cheeks first and went back a week later to have more dissolved so it was all gone and on that appointment I decided to just remove the lips as well.
“I could see how much better it looked with the cheeks already gone.”
Alan spent £1,500 on a course to learn how to give himself filler after first getting his lips done aged 20.
He’d even offer to sign documents to say he wouldn’t sue any salons if his lips burst due to the size of his pout.
During the height of his addiction, he always felt better after going under the needle.
But now he admits he was actually suffering as a result of his obsession.
He said: “I feel 100 percent better now with all the filler removed.
“Every other week I was always complaining of a sore head or sinus problems and people would tell me it was down to too much filler.
“I wasn’t listening and since removing all of it I have never had any of these symptoms again.
“I did have a look into it and overuse of filler can make you feel ill so I’d definitely say it’s from that.”
And while people used to stare because of his unique look, people now don’t even realise it’s the same person.
Alan added: “The first weekend I went out after dissolving people kept saying they had to look twice and couldn’t believe the difference.
“Even still now when I show people pictures, they can’t believe that it was once me.”
