In Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich, wolf attacks have resulted in nine deaths and multiple injuries in 30 villages since March. Habitat disruption from river flooding is pushing wolves towards human settlements. Villagers now patrol with sticks and torches, and authorities have employed technology and deterrents to address the problem, capturing four of six identified wolves.
