THE HAGUE, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- On the final day of the Dutch summer transfer window, Ajax sold Dutch international Steven Bergwijn to Saudi club Al-Ittihad on Monday.
Ajax announced the transfer just 10 minutes before the close of the Dutch transfer market, which was at midnight. The transfer fee for Bergwijn was 21 million euros (about 23.23 million U.S. dollars).
