Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav is going to sadly miss the opening round of the Duleep Trophy, which is starting on September 5, due to an injury he faced on his hand last week.
The right-handed batter, who played in the final outing of Mumbai in the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament against TNCA XI, also missed the game in the last day of the tournament because of his injury since he did not come to the field to play.
Surya was previously set to play For India C against India D in the first round clash from September 5-8. It was then confirmed by BCCI sources that Suryakumar will not be available for Duleep Trophy. He has now been reported to be at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
Spontaneously, India A and India B will face each other at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
This competition will play the role of serving an opportunity for Indian players to be selected in the two Test series against Bangladesh in home grounds, which will be starting on 19 September in Chennai.
