It's been an offseason of highs and lows for Jaylen Brown, but the Boston Celtics star has a clear focus for the 2024-25 season.
Brown celebrated the C's 18th championship in the team's memorable parade in the city. But the 2024 NBA Finals MVP was snubbed off the United States Paris Olympic roster; Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White were chosen. That led to Brown believing Nike played a role -- the All-NBA guard admitted he'd tell his whole story at a different time -- which led to a new diss track and him teasing a new signature shoe. He even floated a new nickname, too.
While basking in his new single, a fan commented how Brown is entering his "villain year," and the 27-year-old went a step further.
"I want blood," Brown commented on his Instagram on Saturday.
Even though Boston won a championship, it seems like Brown is still motivated to prove doubters wrong again and help the C's win back-to-back championships. Tatum could join him for the ride after he was mysteriously benched in Team USA's two matchups against Serbia in the Summer Olympics.
Payton Pritchard also was "out for blood" last season, so whether intentional or not, kept up what could be a trend for the Celtics.
