Prince Harry and Prince William's relationship is preservable depending on who the former marries. Had the Duke of Sussex married someone like his sister-in-law Kate Middleton, instead of Meghan Markle, Prince Charles and Princess Diana's sons would have enjoyed a better bond at present, according to a royal biographer.
Prince William and Prince Harry were very close growing up. They maintained their tight bond even after the Duke of Cambridge married Kate Middleton.
The three royals were even inseparable that they were dubbed "the royal trio." There was also a time Prince Harry was called his brother and sister-in-law's third wheel.
However, things changed when Prince Harry met and married Meghan Markle. Initially, royal fans thought that the royal trio would become fab four, but Princess Diana and Prince Charles' sons decided to have separate households.
Tina Brown weighed in on Prince Harry and Prince William's relationship when she discussed her new book, The Palace Papers. According to her, the two princes would have had a better relationship had Prince Harry looked for a bride similar to Prince William's wife, Middleton.
"It all depended on who Harry married. If Harry married somebody like Kate, I’m quite sure their relationship would have been preservable," Brown told Marie Claire.
"But he’s pursued such a different course now from William, going off to live an essentially Hollywood life...Meghan showed him another world that he found much more exciting. I understand it, but it’s been very disruptive to their relationship."
Princess Diana and Prince Charles' two sons got each other's back. They were each other's support growing up. However, Prince Harry was very disappointed when his older brother advised him to slow down with his romance with Meghan Markle.
To be fair to Prince William, he had no bad intentions and only wanted what was best for his younger brother based on how he felt at the time. The Duke of Cambridge, himself, took his time before he proposed to Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge waited for a decade, that many mocked and called her "Waity Katie" due to the long wait for Prince William's proposal.
So, Prince William only shared with his brother how he approached relationships and marriage. Unfortunately, Prince Harry didn't take it well.
"It was largely down to Harry resenting his brother," the author of "Harry: Life, Loss, and Love" said on Channel 5’s William & Harry: Princes at War. "Harry supported his brother from the outset with Kate and he felt very let down that he wasn’t getting his brother’s full, 100% support with his relationship with Meghan and things changed."
At present, the two brothers are rumored to be still at odds. When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the Queen and Prince Charles in the U.K. last month before they headed to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games, they didn't get to see the Cambridges as the family was on a ski trip in the French Alps at the time.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been consistent when it comes to their great relationship with Queen Elizabeth II. According to Meghan Markle, Prince Harry's grandmother has been wonderful to her.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry has nothing but kind words to say about the monarch. He even spoke about their special relationship in a recent interview claiming that there are things that the British monarch could only share with him and not with the rest of the family.
In the same interview, Prince Harry mentioned that he wanted the Queen to be "protected" and ensure that she is surrounded by the "right people" which raised several eyebrows. Royal biographer Tina Brown clapped back at the Duke of Sussex saying, Her Majesty needed protection from him.
"Well, actually she needs protecting from you, Harry," the Vanity Fair editor and royal author said on BBC Radio 4's Today program Tuesday, Mirror reported.
Brow speculated that Prince Harry was making an attempt to "somehow reel them back" into the royal folds. However, she didn't believe it would happen "right now" because Prince William's younger brother "keeps lobbing these fresh hand grenades at the family" just when it seems that they could sort out things and mend their relationship.

"I think my guess is that they will want to come back actually," Brown added. "I don't think the entertainment efforts are going that brilliantly, you know, sitting in Montecito."
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited the Queen by dropping in the U.K. before they headed to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games last month. While in The Hague, Prince Harry mentioned protecting the Queen during his interview with Hoda Kotb.
Several royal experts clapped back at Prince Harry for saying those words when he was fully aware that his father Prince Charles and older brother Prince William are with Queen Elizabeth in the U.K.
"The protection most needed by the Queen is from exploitation such as this by Prince Harry," Daily Mail columnist Richard Eden tweeted.
"That man clearly used his grandmother for his own PR, as we all predicted! It's so wrong," another user claimed.
"Harry's comment on US TV about him checking the Queen is protected is a gross insult to Prince Charles and William. He's underlined even more that he doesn't deserve to attend the Jubilee celebrations and be on the Balcony," Prince Harry's royal biographer Angela Levin wrote on Twitter.

According to her, the royal couple who are now based in California made a "bad choice," Daily Mail reported.Brown, who was also Princess Diana's biographer, believed that the Sussexes could have left the royal family on far better terms. However, Prince Harry was "so fragile, so combustible, he was so unhappy, frankly, in the constraints of the royal family."
For her, the Sussexes' exit was a "disaster all around" because Prince Harry and Markle allegedly both loved drama. They made various claims that hurt the royal family.Prince Harry and Markle visited the Queen before they headed to the Invictus Games. In his interview with NBC's Hoda Kotb, he spoke about his special bond with the monarch and said that he wanted to protect his 96-year-old grandmother which raised some eyebrows.
Experts found his remarks insulting because Queen Elizabeth II is with Prince Charles and Prince William. So, they were wondering from whom the British monarch needed protection.
There are rumors that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might return to their royal duties when Prince Charles takes over the throne. However, Brown felt that while it's a possibility for the Duke of Sussex, it's unlikely the duchess will do the same. Brown felt that Markle has no intention to stay in the U.K.
"I think that Harry is going to want to come back when the Queen dies to serve his country. And I think they will find a way to reel him in," Brown said. However, royal author Tom Quinn was positive that Markle might join her husband in serving the monarchy part-time. According to him, it was the Sussexes' plan before.
"We’ve already heard Charles say he wants to streamline the royal family, [to] modernize it," Quinn told Us Weekly while discussing his book Scandals of the Royal Palaces: An Intimate Memoir of Royals Behaving Badly.
