MARIA Sharapova’s straight hair has tons of fullness and volume that she credits to a $36 dry shampoo.
The Russian tennis star has a go-to product she’s been using for years to give her locks bounce and body.
Tennis icon Maria Sharapova shared several of her must-have products that she uses on a regular basis.
She raved about her best buys to beat the heat at the US Open in an E! Online interview.
She said she is an avid drinker of Evian water and it’s been an integral part of her lifestyle for many years.
As a busy woman with an athletic regimen, there are certain items she swears by to maintain her appearance from head to toe.
She said she uses two products from the haircare brand Virtue.
“I have very straight hair and most of their products give me beautiful body,” she explained.
She said she uses their shampoo and dry shampoo.
The Virtue Refresh Dry Shampoo, $36, is a “lightweight, invisible dry shampoo that absorbs buildup, oil, and odor,” according to the product description.
A major ingredient is Alpha Keratin 60ku, which is “a healing protein that’s identical to the keratin that makes up 90% of our hair,” and helps repair damaged tresses.
A full-size bottle is $36 but you can get a mini for $18.
Maria’s dry shampoo is easily accessible and found in many stores nationwide.
“These are products I do not change in my routine,” she said.
To use it you just have to hold the can six to eight inches away from your hair and spray it evenly throughout the roots.
Them, let it absorb the build-up and oil for a few seconds before massaging the scalp.
The dry shampoo is available at Ulta, Sephora, Virtue Labs, Dermstore, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bluemercury, and Amazon.
It works for multiple hair textures, including straight, curly, coily, and wavy, and treats concerns like an oily scalp, buildup, and helps extends hairstyles.
Several savvy shoppers raved about the benefits of the dry shampoo in the reviews.
“I’ve used every dry shampoo under the sun and this is for sure one of my top faves. Beautiful scent and no white residue,” one woman wrote.
Another said that she has “no more greasy hair” after using the “great product.”
“My hair is combination oily and dry. A lot of shampoos can dry it out including dry shampoos. This one actually left it nice and soft. My hair looked felt like I had just washed it in the shower. Love it,” a beauty fan added.
