In an update on his Twitter/X account, Hans Niemann talks about the upcoming match and sums up his August wins against Anish Giri in Utrecht, against Vitiugov in London, and against Bacrot in Paris. Niemann says, “The journey towards World Champion continues. I have made huge strides […] My performance in these matches was around 2800 ELO”
Niemann says, “I want to be in the chess world for a long time. I want to rise to number 1 classical player. I want to become a World Champion and stay World Champion for a very long time. Not just classical, also blitz and rapid, in all of them. You may laugh now, but you will all see very soon.”
