Worm Found In Vegetable Pulao At Greater Noida Restaurant, Staff Shirk Off Responsibility

New Delhi: You go to one of the upscale, classy restaurants with your friends to enjoy time along with great, high-quality vegetarian food. But it so happens that not only the outing turns out to be a disaster in terms of money but also from health and hygiene point of view.

This is what three friends went through when they went to a popular restaurant in Greater Noida’s Knowledge Park and placed order for vegetable pulao.

They found a worm in the vegetable pulao they ordered!

They called the restaurant staff to point out the discovery and raise their valid concerns and worries. Instead of addressing the problem hands on, the restaurant staff were unconcerned and dismiss the matter casually.

As a result of the careless attitude of the restaurant’s employees one of the guests, advocate Aditya Bhati shared the distressing incident on social media where he said that he and two of his friends were dining at this particular restaurant when they found a worm in the veg pulao.

“We had already paid the bill of Rs 2,000. When we informed the restaurant management about the worm, they claimed it had fallen from above and insisted that nothing could be done,” Bhati said.

The trio decided not to eat the remaining food and asked the restaurant management for a resolution. It followed an intense discussion but the matter remained unresolved. That’s when Bhati chose to narrate his experience on social media in which he accused the restaurant of endangering the health of the public.

Bhati, in his post, tagged the district administration and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath demanding action against the restaurant’s management.

It was only after the social media post and the photo and video posted by Bhati went viral that a team from the Food Safety Department visited the restaurant to collect samples.

Sarvesh Mishra, the Assistant Commissioner (Food) said that the department became aware of the incident through social media and the matter is now under investigation.
