"It is a genuine problem that the Palace is looking to address," an unnamed source told Eden. "Can you imagine the Duke of York having to sign official documents, for example, because the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge were both abroad, and the Queen became ill? It’s not an exaggeration to say it could put the monarchy in jeopardy."Buckingham Palace declined to comment. However, an unnamed source said it would be difficult to remove the two dukes for the role because an Act of Parliament is needed to do so.

"There could be events later this year which make such a change necessary," the source who declined to elaborate added.

The Counsellors of State are the four adults next to succession, provided that they are 21 years and older. There are four Counsellors of State — Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Harry and Prince Andrew.

The Counsellors of State are authorized to carry out most of the official duties of the Sovereign. They could attend Privy Council meetings, sign routine documents and receive the credentials of new ambassadors to the United Kingdom. The royal correspondent and author shared two reasons why she believed Prince Harry and Markle's reunion with the Prince of Wales wasn't really about mending their relationship.

"First of all, Harry arrived late. What was he doing beforehand? He couldn't have been that busy," Levin added. "And secondly, he was only there for about 10 minutes."

Levin said that one cannot make amends in just 10 minutes, noting that doing so is "an insult." Also, he believed that such a short meeting would only "make both anger and profound sadness rise up in Charles.Levin had the chance to interview and join Prince Harry in various engagements when she worked on his biography. According to her, he had changed big time.

He remembered Prince Harry as someone who would work hard and help his father. However, he behaves differently this time "like an idiot," Levin said.

"It's an idiotic thing to suggest that, when you haven't been around for a year, you are somehow in charge of protecting the Queen," she continued. "It's an outpouring of venom - and not the Harry I once knew."

Prince William's podcast appearance came after the relaunch of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Archewell Audio which will release Meghan Markle's own podcast this year.Prince Harry and Markle signed a reported $25 million deal with Spotify in December 2020. The couple produced a 2020 holiday special for Spotify. The 34-minute special featured a collection of personal anecdotes and inspirational stories from celebrity guests, including James Corden, Tyler Perry, Naomi Osaka, and more.

In 2021, the royal couple never released a single podcast episode, prompting some fans to question their Spotify deal. Several netizens even mocked the Sussexes on Twitter for the lack of content.
