PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Polk County man is in custody on charges of encouraging child sexual abuse after a police searched his home and found child porn in his home, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Mark Skyberg, 72, during a traffic stop while his residence near 24000 Yamhill River Road was searched around 1:36 p.m. on Thursday.
Inside Skyberg’s home, authorities said they found “additional pieces of evidence” such as multiple electronic devices and child pornography materials.
Skyberg faces six counts of first-degree encouraging child sexual abuse as well as one count each of one count of second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a minor.
Officials said Skyberg may have other victims, and additional charges may be made as the investigation continues.
