Mike Tyson Admits Using Psychedelics to Train for Jake Paul Fight
At this point in his boxing career, Mike Tyson has nothing to prove, so his highly anticipated fight with Jake Paul is largely for entertainment. And while Tyson is taking his training seriously, he's also having some fun with it while in the gym.
In a recent interview with Jake's brother Logan Paul on the Impaulsive podcast, Tyson dished about his training process and revealed that he's incorporated psilocybin mushrooms into his training routine.
"I have to take them when I train. I always train with my mushrooms,” Tyson said.
When asked why he takes psychedelics before putting in hard work in the gym, Tyson's answered honestly.
"I train on mushrooms because I feel beautiful. It takes me to heaven, baby," he stated plainly.
It's not the first time Tyson has spoken about his psychedelic use. Back in 2021, he opened up about his experiences with smoking toad venom of the Sonoran Desert toad.
"In my trips I've seen that death is beautiful," he told The New York Post. "Life and death both have to be beautiful, but death has a bad rep. The toad has taught me that I'm not going to be here forever. There's an expiration date."

As for his big match against Jake Paul, Tyson didn't deny that there could be some psilocybin in his system.
"Maybe," he said when asked if he'd be "on mushrooms" during the fight. "If I’m not on mushrooms, but I’ll be on the [residual effects] of mushrooms."
Tyson and Paul will face off in the ring on Nov. 25.
