In Jamalpur village of Assam's Cachar district, Rafique Uddin brutally severed his wife Ruby's hands, suspecting her of an extra-marital affair. Following a prolonged argument, Rafique attacked Ruby, who was then taken to Silchar Medical College and later to a Guwahati hospital for severe injuries. The assailant fled the scene after the incident.
