Oris quite literally kicked off the Geneva Watch Days 2024 this year by debuting a special edition created together with its partner LFP and the French children’s charity CNAPE. The LFP, which stands for Ligue de Football Professionnel, comprises the two French professional soccer leagues, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. Oris is the official timekeeper and sustainability partner.
This is beautifully reflected in the design of the LFP Limited Edition. The text on the dial and case back is written in a charming children’s handwriting, as is the brand logo. The words “Water Resistant” stand even more out because their letters are printed in five different colors.
The words “Les Défenseurs de l’Enfance” (“The Defenders of Childhood”) engraved on the back reflect the logo of the CNAPE children’s tournament.
Limited to 1,000 pieces, this edition is based on the Divers Sixty-Five, Oris’s highly coveted retro sports watch. With a unidirectional rotating bezel and raised minute scale, the 38mm stainless steel watch is a real eye-catcher. Like the hour and minute hands, the hour markers and the round surface of the lollipop second hand are coated with Super-LumiNova. The sapphire crystal is domed on both sides and has an anti-reflective coating on the inside. The screw-down crown contributes to the water-resistance of 100 meters. On the inside, the automatic caliber 733 is based on the Sellita SW200.
The watch comes with a three-link bracelet and folding clasp and is available immediately for $2,800.
