COPS have warned Oasis fans to be wary of scammers set on exploiting them ahead of tickets sales this weekend.
The long-awaited band’s reunion was announced earlier this week prompting huge excitement among fans.
The scramble for tickets is set to begin tomorrow with the cult classic band adding three new tour dates due to “unprecedented demand”.
Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to bid for a spot in one of the reunion tour gigs next year.
But police have issued a warning against scammers and fraudsters who could trick excited fans into splashing out over fake or non-existent tickets.
Damian Cranny, fraud protection officer with Dorset Police, said: “Unfortunately, it is common for fraudsters to use popular events to exploit eager fans and thousands of people across the UK fall victim to ticket scams each year.
“We want all Oasis fans to enjoy this long-awaited reunion safely and securely, so, if you’re hoping to buy tickets this weekend, please be vigilant and take extra steps to protect your personal information and bank details.”
Police advised fans to stick to official channels when purchasing tickets – meaning only the band’s official website or authorised ticket vendors.
Fans should visit the official website of the concert venue for ticket information and links to authorised sellers paying with secure payment methods like a credit card or Paypal.
Police also warned prospective buyers to “be realistic about prices”.
“If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is,” a spokesman for Dorset Police said.
Using official apps or websites to get notified when tickets go on sale is also a good way to avoid falling victim to unscrupulous scammers.
Police said tickets should never be bought from unofficial websites, social media posts or classified ads.
Fans should also never pay by bank transfer as legitimate ticketing platforms don’t ask for direct bank transfers.
They should be wary of emails or texts with links to ticket sales – they may be phishing scams – and avoid giving out personal information or financial details unless they’re certain that the seller is legitimate.
Finally, prospective buyers should never rush into a purchase, and should not post images of their tickets online as they can be replicated or used to scam another buyer.
OASIS has sent an urgent warning to fans as they revealed that ALL pre-sale codes for the reunion have now been issued.
Those wanting to watch the reunion of Noel and Liam Gallagher have got their hands on codes for the pre-sale ballot, which provides them with early access to tickets for the shows next year.
The lucky ones who have received a code will be able to buy tickets from 7pm tonight and skip tomorrow’s queue.
But the indie band have now urged fans to NOT sell their unique codes to other people.
They shared a message on their Instagram Story, which read: “All ticket ballot codes have now been sent out to fans.
“Please do not buy a code or transfer them to someone else.
“Codes only work with the registered email address.
“If you didn’t get a code to access the pre-sale. You can join the general sale tomorrow morning.”
An e-mail, sent out at 12pm on Friday, read: “Oasis Live ’25 UK Pre-Sale Ballot Access. You have been selected in the Oasis Live ’25 Ticket Ballot to access the pre-sale!
“Here is your unique code to access the UK pre-sale, which takes place between 7pm and 10pm BST tonight, Friday 30th August.”
Police urged fans who suspect they may have encountered a ticket scam to report it to Action Fraud.
With the tour dates and details for the domestic leg now revealed to be taking place in 2025, the Wonderwall hitmakers have plenty of time.
The Sun initially confirmed the group would play a whopping four shows at Wembley.
Yet another London date has already been added to the mix due to fan demand.

Fans are able to increase their chances of getting tickets through a pre-sale ticket ballot.
Fans need to enter some personal details and answer an Oasis-related question.
Those who answer correctly will receive an email asking for confirmation they want to be entered into the ballot.
Successful ballot entries then received an email with a code by 12pm on Friday, August 30.

Tickets for the UK dates go on sale from 9am on Saturday, August 31st and will be available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk, www.gigsandtours.com and www.seetickets.com. Dublin tickets will be available from 8am that same day from www.ticketmaster.ie.
