According to Mundo Albiceleste, Real Betis expect to secure a deal for Giovani Lo Celso before the transfer window slams shut at 11 pm.
We have heard plenty of reports regarding Lo Celso’s impending Spurs exit over the last 48 hours and Betis’ attempts to re-sign the player.
The latest update comes from Mundo Albiceleste, who seem to suggest that the La Liga side are confident that the midfielder will be their player by this evening.
The report explains that the Spanish side have been trying to sign the 28-year-old since June, with negotiations between them and Spurs expected to intensify over the coming hours.
The publication adds that Lo Celso wants a fresh start under Manuel Pellegrini at the Benito Villamarin stadium after struggling for game time at Tottenham over recent years.
The midfielder is said to be hopeful that playing week-in, week-out back at Betis would help him force himself into Lionel Scaloni’s Argentina starting eleven.
This one could go down to the wire this evening with just a matter of hours left before the transfer window slams shut.

It seems quite clear at the moment that Lo Celso is likely to be back at Betis before the end of the day.
However, where Sergio Reguilon will end up is anybody’s guess at the moment, with several sides seemingly chasing the left-back in the final hours of the window.
