According to TBR Football, Tottenham Hotspur are now ready to test the waters with a late offer for Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
The report claims that Ange Postecoglou wants to bring in one more body in the middle of the park after letting go of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp earlier this summer.
With Giovani Lo Celso also set to depart, it is suggested that the Lilywhites could turn their attention to Serie A to bolster their options in the middle of the park.
It has now emerged that Spurs may look to a happy hunting ground in search of a reinforcement, having signed the likes of Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus in the past.
Locatelli has allegedly emerged as a late option for Tottenham, with the Italy international’s experience and profile said to appeal to the North London club.
It is alleged that the Spurs are ‘keen’ on completing a late deal for the 26-year-old and are ‘ready to submit’ a £20.5m offer for the Juve midfielder.
The publication adds that Juventus could accept such a bid as Locatelli is considered surplus to requirements by new boss Thiago Motta.

Postecoglou currently has Bentancur, Bissouma, Sarr and Gray competing for two positions, while Kulusevski demonstrated against Everton that he can also operate as a number eight.
So while a need for a midfielder is not pressing at the moment, getting a player of Locatelli’s experience and quality for £20m would be a real coup.
