Celebs Go Dating's Stephen Webb opens up about divorce in emotional scene

Celebs Go Dating star Stephen Webb has opened up about his divorce from Daniel Lustig in an emotional scene.
The pair, who appeared together on Gogglebox for five years together until departing last year, announced in April that they had divorced after six years of marriage, bringing an end to their 11-year relationship.
Stephen has since tried to find love in the latest season of E4’s Celebs Go Dating, with Thursday’s (August 29) episode seeing him go on a date with Saif. Whilst there, he was asked about his divorce, with the reality star opening up on the events.

“I spearheaded it. I felt like it had come to an end really,” he began. “We had started living separate lives. It just wasn’t working anymore. But he was one of the best things that ever happened to me.
“I’m getting emotional now,” he concluded, before explaining in the VT: “Talking about Daniel is always going to be hard. He’s a lovely guy and I still love him with all my heart, but it feels good to be talking to Saif about it.”
“It's with much sadness Daniel and I have decided to divorce,” said Stephen in a statement upon the announcement of their separation. “There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we've unfortunately grown apart and made the decision to part ways.

“We've made the decision with a heavy heart to confirm our marriage has come to an end. I'm sure we will forever be friends,” added Daniel, who appeared in an episode of Celebs Go Dating earlier this week as he gave advice to Stephen.
Stephen is joined in the series by Jamelia, Tristan Phipps, Helen Flanagan, Chris Taylor and Ella Morgan, with the group hoping to find love with the help of experts Paul C Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr. Tara Suwinyattichaiporn.
Celebs Go Dating airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 9pm on E4.
