TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Troy boxer Jadah Robinson is preparing for her first professional fight on Oct. 25, and received some special gifts from the Collar City to help her throughout her training process. Troy mayor Carmella Mantello joined with the North Central Community Solidarity Group Thursday afternoon to present Robinson with new boxing equipment ahead of her October debut.
Robinson, a 4-time USA National Junior Olympic gold medalist, who will also be training for the match with legendary boxer Roy Jones Jr., now has the gear fit for the rising star that she is.
"[It's] just an amazing opportunity," said Robinson. "[An] opportunity that does not come for everybody, but it came for me, and I thank God for that. I'm gonna take this opportunity and make a name for myself...AGAIN."
