BUYER’S remorse swiftly kicked in for a shopper who spotted her latest purchase available for a fraction of the price at Dollar Tree.
She shared a photo of the pricey hair accessory bought from Ulta Beauty alongside a budget-friendly dupe.

Her snap showed a large purple hair clip bought from Dollar Tree and an almost identical gray version from Ulta Beauty.
“Got the blue-gray clip from the Hair Edit at Ulta a few weeks back, love it, but found the same clip in purple at the Dollar Tree for $9 less,” she said, writing under the handle AnOnyxForest.
“Learn from me.”
The hair clips could be mistaken for being bought from the same place due to their similarities.
The Hair Edit’s Secret Garden Clip costs $9.99 at Ulta Beauty.
It’s described as being “the secret to a fun and chic half or full up-do.”
Customers blissfully unaware that they could’ve got the look for less have given it a 4.7-star rating out of a possible 5 and penned rave reviews.
One person said the clip is “super easy and comfortable to wear,” while another described it as “such a beautiful accessory!”
“I use this product to hold my hair up on a daily basis or half up if I want to let some of my hair loose,” a third said.
“It is very simple to use. Soft to open, not hard, so it opens and closes very easily.
“It grabs a lot of hair and it is simply pretty.”
A Reddit user shared their opinion on why Dollar Tree’s claw clip looks similar despite costing just $1.25.
“There are so many hair products at Ulta, Target, etc. and they are just bulk ordered from manufacturers,” they said.
“You can get them from Amazon, shein, AliExpress for cheaper.”
The Dollar Tree shopper who started the discussion was grateful for the comment.
“I’ll be doing that next time,” she replied.
“At least I got a couple of points off the first mess up I guess.”
Savvy shoppers have scoured Dollar Tree to find dupes of their favorite products

Dollar Tree has a dupe for The Pink Stuff cleaning paste, too.
Other people said they had also spotted the hair accessory being sold for less than the price at Ulta Beauty.
“Girl I bought a pack of 6 for under $10 on Amazon lol,” one person said.
“I got like 6 for 30 cents on Temu. Great quality and exactly the same as these,” another commented.
“Nice find, It’s super helpful to know these things when most of us are on a budget,” a third wrote.
“I don’t underestimate what the DT sells and pop in there more than I used to bc [because] you just never know!”
