Here are five transfers that could still happen before the window shuts…
Raheem Sterling is expected to end his time at Chelsea before the end of the transfer window.
The forward has been cast out of the Blues squad by the manager Enzo Maresca and been told to find a new club.
Man United are believed to be in talks with a move for Sterling that could see him link up with former England team-mates Marcus Rashford and Mason Mount.
The former Man City and Liverpool star has previously admitted that was a Red Devils fan when he was growing up.
A deal that could be tied in with Sterling’s move to Old Trafford is Jadon Sancho.
The former Borussia Dortmund star is wanted at Chelsea as reports of a possible swap deal have been rife.
Sancho has had a tricky time at Man United as he has struggled for form, been exiled and loaned out before being brought back into the team by Erik ten Hag.
The winger has not featured in the Premier League this season and could benefit from a fresh start in West London.
Ivan Toney is another player who could be wearing the Blue of Chelsea before the end of the window.
The striker has not played this season as Brentford manager Thomas Frank has planned to be without his star for the future.
Toney has been linked with an exit from the Gtech Community Stadium for over a year and could finally get his move.
The Bees are expected to accept less than their £50m asking price or they could end up losing him for free at the end of the season.
Toney also has admirers in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere in the Premier League.
Arsenal have held a long-term interest, while Man United have been in contact over a deal.
Victor Osimhen is another player who has been linked for a long time with a big transfer move.
The Napoli star is wanted by Chelsea by his £500,000-per-week wage demands have proved to be a stumbling block.
Saudi outfit Al-Ahli are believed to be keen on signing the Nigerian, which could force the Blues’ hand.
Arsenal are also admirers of the Serie A star and it is thought he would be a good fit at the Emirates Stadium.
Osimhen’s contract in Naples expires at the end of the season, and with the arrival of Romelu Lukaku, Napoli could be keen to do a deal.
One transfer that would be out of the box would be Darwin Nunez to Arsenal.
The Uruagyuan is yet to start a game for Arne Slot in the Premier League this season.
Mikel Arteta is keen to add more firepower to his squad in order to boost the team’s title credentials.
Nunez has had a mixed time at Anfield since his arrival from Benfica, as he has shown flashes of brilliance but not on a consistent basis.
