John Stamos opened up about his experience being recruiting to join the controversial Church of Scientology.
While on the Friends in High Places podcast, the 61-year-old Full House star explained that he was invited to a recruitment event by a “hot girl” who he was in an acting class with when he was a teen.
However, after attending one meeting, he was kicked out and not invited back.

Reflecting on the experience, John explained that the girl invited him to join her at “this address on Hollywood Boulevard.”
“I was working at my dad’s restaurant at the time, and I said, ‘Dad, I gotta go.’ So, I went and it was the Scientology building,” he explained.
John attended the meeting, but he was not very popular after he started playing with the group’s E-Meter, which is a tool that the church uses to detect “spiritual distress.”
“I was doing a Peabody and the Way Back Machine [impression],” he recalled, adding, “And they didn’t like that. Then, I was just f-cking around so much, they said, ‘Get out, get going!’ They just kicked me out.”
After the interviewer said that he was “messing around too much” and “too annoying” for the group, John agreed, saying that he must have been “pretty bad” to get kicked out.
