I bought a $665 bottle of designer perfume but prefer a dupe – it smells identical but lasts longer & costs 93% less
FRAGRANCES can cost an arm and a leg, but one mom has found the perfect scent solution for herself and her family.
She was once loyal to pricier perfume, but found a way to spend less.
Redditor Murky-two-378 posted about her fragrant buy in a comment on the platform.
She said that she doesn’t just buy the perfume dupes for herself, but also for her daughter and husband.
The mom gushed that the scents smell “exactly the same.”
She added that she doesn’t plan on going back to pricier perfumes anytime soon.

Murky-two-378 revealed the store she prefers when fragrance shopping.
“I buy fragrances for myself as well as my husband and daughter,” she said.
“I have bought over 100 bottles from Dossier.”
“Some dupes smell exactly the same. Others may not be exact but are close.
“Many have better performance than the originals.”
The mom dished that she was a big fan of Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Baccarat Rouge 540, which is sold for $665 for a 6.8 fluid ounce bottle.
She even shared the bottle with her family.
“Unfortunately my husband and I both get nose blind to it,” she revealed.
Murky-two-378 found an alternative way to reignite the scent for way less.
“Dossier’s version of Baccarat Rouge, called Ambery Saffron, smells identical on skin on arm-to-arm testing,” she said.
“However, it seems denser and we don’t go nose blind to it.”
Dossier’s Ambery Saffron retails for $49 for 3.4 fluid ounces.
“We all three have bottles of Ambery Saffron that we reach for even though the bottle of Baccarat Rouge still has over an ounce left,” she said.
“We prefer Dossier’s version.
“My daughter was just telling me today that she prefers Dossier’s version of J’Adore because it smells better and lasts longer.”
Murky-two-378 added that she plans to continue shopping on Dossier for her perfumes.
“I could go on and on about Dossier’s fragrances,” she said. “We love them and will keep buying them.”
