New funding for zero-emission school buses is on the way.
On Tuesday, August 27, officials from the California Environmental Protection Agency, the California Air Resources Board, the California Energy Commission, and the Los Angeles Unified School District announced funding for a new program designed to promote green vehicles, following the state’s initiative.

Officials gathered at the LAUSD Sun Valley Bus Garage, which is expected to have all of their vehicles fully zero-emissions by 2026.
LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho, State Secretary for Environmental Protection Yana Garcia and Chair of the California Air Resources Liane Randolph attended the event.
